Unfortunately, that selfishness has carried on for far too many years, leading us to where we are today: a town that rested on its laurels while the world revolved around it.

This town was not proactive at a time when it should have been investigating opportunities. Or perhaps I should I say, there are groups like GBIS that PRETEND to be proactive but are actually just politically self-serving. Where are all the changes they touted? These are businesses people for business, yet where are the positive changes? Rather, I see tampering with political processes.

When you look at the Blanchards, Garierir, other GBIS members, and the town, there are similarities: Stale; very little change, if any; and seemingly unfriendly to "outsiders" unless it serves their own purposes. While they are so busy fighting for their own agenda, the town flounders in the background.

Jeff's right; it is shameful.

Tom,

They should know that we, as a community, do not respect their actions and do not look at them as leaders to be revered but as pariah to be shunned. Shame on them, they should not be able to look any of us in the eye with any level of self respect!!!

I hope that your leadership within our town government but also within your various volunteer endeavors have inspired more to take up the call of public service. It is only through new blood that we will turn a new leaf in this town as the same ol, same ol has lead us down a dark, self serving, dead end.

Jeff Bonja
